Bosses at Inverclyde’s biggest money pit have come under fire for what can only be described as a massive error of judgement after they banded together to place a £1 million wager on a football match.
The dunderheaded managers thought they had a sure fire winner when they placed the bet on Manchester City to claim a home win against Hull City this afternoon, which backfired as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
One local punter was quoted when asked for comment, “Daft bet, Aguero wisnae even playin. Had a draw written all overit.”
We are still attempting to reach the managers for comment, however, they are currently missing, presumed to have fled the country. The Beacon itself is currently closed for maintenence for the next few years.
